In April we had Mr. Robert Pauling (left) as well as CEO John Lemkuil (right) attending our 2nd networking event. Neither they nor we knew each other before. They got interested in our mission since they share our thoughts that as a company, you must invest into young people and prepare them early to work the way you want them to in the future.
They also understand that you have to get in contact with those young people early on, so you can become their first workplace and hopefully keep them. Especially in Japan recruiting is done while the young people are still at university. If you are a globally minded company with subsidiaries all over the world like Computec, you really have to put work into recruitment and be the early bird. How to find bilingual youth you can educate further as an IT-company? You find them at Japanese language schools in Japan. You can find them online; while they are still abroad seeking internships in Japan, willing to work here once graduated. And of course at networking events and our Internship Japan LinkedIn group.
